Eatonton Resident Mary Arthur Drives Away as the Winner of Lake Oconee Dentistry’s FIAT Giveaway

The Lake Oconee Boomers Team

Mary Arthur, of Eatonton, GA, was announced the winner of Lake Oconee Dentistry’s FIAT giveaway last Saturday.  The announcement was made at the Community Appreciation Event hosted by Drs. David and Patti Bradley of Lake Oconee Dentistry.  Arthur received the keys — and bragging rights — to the black FIAT Convertible, after she opened the winning envelope.

Prior to Saturday’s event, four other FIAT finalists had been named  — Dana Kibbey of Madison, Nell Willis of Greensboro, Robert Ishee of Greensboro and Doris Leach of Greensboro.  Arthur’s name was chosen live at Saturday’s event as the fifth — and last — finalist.  Once given her FIAT hat and finalist pin, Drs. David and Patti Bradley asked the remaining four finalists to join Arthur on stage for the giveaway.

Finalists were told to choose one of five wrapped packages.  The doctors then gave each finalist a “trivia question” which, if answered correctly, would allow them an opportunity to switch the selected package with another finalist.  After each finalist had fielded a question, the packages were unwrapped to reveal five shiny envelopes.  With a drumroll to urge them on, finalists opened their envelopes to reveal which one held the key to the car.

“It was such a fun day,” said Dr. David Bradley.  “The event drew a great crowd.  We appreciate all of the community support.  We’re so happy for Mary and wish her the best of luck with her new car.”

Nearly 800 people attended the free appreciation event, which was held in the parking area surrounding the Lake Oconee Dentistry office. The event featured a two-hour concert by Departure, an award-winning Journey tribute band. Other entertainment included Atlanta Magicians of the Year Dan Garrett and Merritt Ambrose, and ELEMENT, a highly-trained performance troupe that showcased Cirque de Soleil-inspired acrobatics such as aerial silks and tumbling.  The Varsity’s mobile catering truck was also in attendance serving free food to attendees.

“We’re just so glad to be able to give back to the community,” said Dr. Patti Bradley.  “The lake area was where we started our practice and the amazing people who live here have made the last 15 years so enjoyable for us.  We’re looking forward to 15 more.”
