Festival Hall Brings Daughter of Country Music Superstars to Greensboro

The Lake Oconee Boomers Team

Festival Hall is proud to announce a very special concert engagement with Georgette Jones; the daughter of country music Hall of Fame singers George Jones and Tammy Wynette.   Georgette will be gracing the stage of Festival Hall at 7pm on Friday, March 21st in a show called, “Georgette Jones; a musical tribute to my mother, Tammy Wynette.”

“The main thing was that I wanted to do something to honor her and I’ve always loved mom’s music,” Jones said.  “I wanted to pick some things that people are familiar with, but I wanted to do some things that maybe they weren’t familiar with and make sure they heard those kinds of things.  I do this out of the love for my mom and an honor for her. ”

Backed with an incredible, six-piece band, the show features the Tammy Wynette songbook, a sprinkling of Georgette’s original compositions, never-heard-before stories and banter about Tammy Wynette and George Jones and a slide show of candid photos that fans of the First Lady of Country Music will surely enjoy! Festival Hall Director, Gene Yaws, thinks this will be a performance that will be talked about in Greensboro for quite some time, and one not to be missed!

“I am very excited to bring Georgette’s tribute to the people of Greene County. This is a loving and beautiful tribute that only a daughter could deliver…and an extremely talented daughter, at that!”

Tickets are $25 and $20 and can be purchased at Festival Hall in Greensboro, GA or by calling (762) 243-8022. For more information about “Georgette Jones; a musical tribute to my mother, Tammy Wynette” or to learn more about Festival Hall please visit www.festivalhallgreensboro.com.
