Georgia Mosquito Population Set to Explode

Due to so much rain, Georgia could within the next few weeks experience its largest mosquito population explosion in years, reports the Athens Banner-Herald.

The good news is that the mosquitoes attacking us in increasing numbers aren’t the primary carriers of West Nile virus,Elmer Gray, an entomologist with the University of Georgia’s Cooperative Extension Service, told the Athens Banner-Herald.
