The development team of Fountain Crest at Lake Oconee will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on the future site of this premier senior living community on Thursday, September 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Following brief remarks at the ceremony marking this important milestone, a reception will follow with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Media outlets, local county, city, state and other dignitaries will be in attendance for the ceremony and reception. Due to the significance of this project, the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce will also conduct their ‘Business after Hours’ function at the event.
“Our team has been working diligently over the last 10 months on every detail; from the selection of an architectural firm and building design, to obtaining financing for the project, to working with the state and county to make sure all compliances, permits and approvals are secured” said Dr. Bob Cowles, one of the key members of the development team. Cowles adds, “With a capital investment of $50 million and the potential to bring in close to 100 new jobs, the development of this retirement community will be one of the largest for-profit, commercial projects in Greene County in recent memory. It’s important that we let the Lake Oconee community know how significant this development is to the local tax base and the greater economy for this area.”
The development team of Fountain Crest at Lake Oconee has opened the ceremony and reception to the public and encourages anyone interested in the development to attend.
