Jimmy Britt recently contributed a generous donation to both Lake Oconee Academy and the Boys and Girls Club.
A $1,000 donation from Jimmy Britt Chevrolet Buick GMC will assist the Boys and Girls Club in funding various programs and services. The main focus of the Boys and Girls Club is to build a relationship with every young student. The organization has proven to have a positive influence in the lives of every child. The Boys and Girls Club provides each child with special attention and the staff works diligently to improve each student’s academic performance. Club members are less disruptive in the classroom, focusing more on their schoolwork.
In addition to the contribution to the Boys and Girls Club, Jimmy Britt Chevrolet Buick GMC continually shows support for the young athletes of Lake Oconee Academy. Through the National Chevrolet Baseball Program, Jimmy Britt Chevrolet Buick GMC was able to provide the Lake Oconee Academy (LOA) baseball team with a $500 donation along with new equipment.
This year marks the 8th anniversary for Chevrolet Youth Baseball, a program that has raised millions of dollars to aid local teams. This program has affected more than 2.7 million young people in communities where Chevrolet’s customers live, work and play.
Jimmy Britt Chevrolet Buick GMC finds it an honor to participate in the program and to support these young athletes. Jimmy Britt, along with Randy Stouder (Jimmy Britt Sales Manager) visited Lake Oconee Academy to meet the team. Britt presented the LOA Titans with a check as well as new gear, such as catcher’s gear, ball screens, dug out organizers and much more.
The LOA Titans Baseball Team will also have an opportunity to raise additional funds through a Chevrolet Youth Baseball Fund-raiser. Fund-raiser tickets will be distributed for a suggested donation, and the team will keep 100 percent of the proceeds it raises. At the end of the fund-raiser, five winners – one from each region – will win the Chevrolet Equinox or Chevrolet Cruze vehicle of their choice. Each participating market will award a secondary prize of a television and Blu-Ray player.
