Vibrant Life Enrichment Center Addresses Seniors’ Physical, Mental and Emotional Needs, While Providing a Renewed Sense of Purpose
Vibrant Life Enrichment Center, a new adult day healthcare center, has opened at 1061 Park Drive in Greensboro at the entrance to Harbor Club. The locally-owned business provides full- and half-day programming to assist caregivers who have responsibility for an older adult who cannot be left alone during the day, and for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living.
Vibrant LIfe offers supportive staff, a secure group setting, supervision, nutritious whole-food meals, healthcare coordination services, wellness programming, daily fitness classes, recreation and socialization. Guests are provided with physical, mental and emotional stimulation and social activities, including art, music and pet therapies, as well as activities to foster memory, creativity and thought. Guests can enjoy the company of other people and participate in activities customized toward their individual interests.
Additionally, the center offers personal care services, such as bathing, beauty shop and laundry, to relieve caregivers and seniors of the burdens and safety issues that often accompany personal care tasks. Door-to-door transportation is also available.
According to Vibrant LIfe Owner Todd Ciavola, the center meets the need for an affordable, high-quality short-term care option that allows older adults to remain in their current residences.
“Eighty percent of seniors want to age at home but, oftentimes, living at home without help isn’t an option,” says Ciavola. “We provide wellness programming at rates far less than other programs, while allowing seniors to remain independent and at home until a higher level of care is needed.”
Vibrant Life places a high priority on providing each guest with a sense of daily purpose that keeps them engaged and excited about life. Each guest undergoes a special initial assessment to determine how best to utilize his skills, talents and passions on a daily basis.
“Engagement is key,” says Ciavola. “Assisting our guests with the activities of daily living is just the minimum. We want to help them live each day with a sense of purpose which, research is showing, can greatly impact overall health and happiness.”
Vibrant Life has assembled a team of carefully-screened registered nurses and certified nursing assistants to ensure the highest quality care. The team is also receiving specialized training to assist guests with memory disorders and dementia-related illnesses.
“We want Vibrant Life to be a safe zone for seniors and caregivers, where we can pour into their lives while helping them thrive,” says Ciavola.
Vibrant Life is located at the entrance to Harbor Club, off Highway 44 in Greensboro. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with after-hours assistance available. For more information and a free consultation, call Todd Ciavola at 877-270-5253 or visit VibrantLifeCenters.com
