St. Mary’s Auxiliary will hold its 14th annual Love Light Tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. in St. Mary’s Atrium Lobby to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
Everyone is invited to attend and the event is free. The Titan Treblemakers from North Oconee High School, directed by Renee Costigan, will entertain guests with holiday music. In addition, Santa will be available to take complimentary photographs at the end of the program. Light refreshments will be provided and there is no cost for parking.
Love Lights is a year-round fund-raising effort to benefit St. Mary’s Hospice Services, which provides compassionate care to people with life-limiting conditions. Since 1990, St. Mary’s Hospice Services has brought care to patients and their families in their homes across a 13-county area of Northeast Georgia. St. Mary’s Hospice Services also provides the region’s only inpatient hospice house, a 12-bed homelike facility where hospice patients can come for respite care or when they are no longer able to remain in their own home.
Gifts can be made to Love Lights in honor or memory of friends and loved ones; to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and special occasions, and for special recognition of a person or organization. Donation levels start at $10 and may be made by calling St. Mary’s Foundation at 706.389.3926 or online at http://www.stmarysathens.org/health-resources/classes-events/love-light-donate/.
