All area residents, families and visitors are invited to celebrate fall at Lake Oconee with the 2nd Annual. Fall Family Festival and Titan Trot on October 5th at the Lake Oconee Academy campus off Carey Station Road. An action filled day begins with the Titan Trot 5K race at 8:00 a.m. followed by the Fun Runs beginning at 9:30 a.m. After the races, stick around for the second annual “Fall Family Fun” festival featuring bounce houses, dunking booth, a rock climbing wall, carnival games, prizes, food and more. Festival activities will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parking will be available at the First United Methodist Church where a shuttle service will be provided during the event.
Titan Trot runners will start the 5K race on Titan Circle in front of Lake Oconee Academy at 8:00 a.m. and run an out & back route along West Lake Road. Onsite registration will be available at a cost of $25 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Runs. Take advantage of a $5 registration discount and a guaranteed t-shirt when you register online at active.com prior to the event. The Fall Family Fun Festival will be held on the Lake Oconee Academy baseball field from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Carnival game tickets will be available for purchase at the gate, and will be used to play classic games like the Cake Walk, Duck Pond, Football Toss, Balloon Darts and many more with prizes galore. Wristbands are also available for purchase at the gate, giving the wearer unlimited access to the Rock Climbing Wall, Bounce House, Monster Slide and the ever popular Dunking Booth. Stop by to see all those that are in the tank!
Face painting and Flair Hair booths are sure to brighten your day, and you may even find the perfect gift basket at the silent auction. Old Salem Fire Department will be onsite to give truck tours to the children.
