The Greene County Republican Party announced today they will be hosting the 2013 Summer Family Fun Fest, a community event, which will be held in the Parkside Main 8 Theatre Plaza at Lake Oconee on Sunday, August 18th from 2-5pm. The Summer Family Fun Fest will have carnival games for kids with prizes, raffles with prizes just for parents, face painting, sweet treats, popcorn, 80s music DJ’d live by Chip Lyness from Dock 103.9, and a magic show at 3pm by Greene County’s favorite magician, Mark the Magic Man. Hang around after the show to see Mark’s up-close, walk-around magic and custom balloon art creations.
The Circle of Friends Humane Society and the Oconee Regional Humane Society will have adoptable pets, available and ready to find their “forever homes.” The Greene County 4-H will also be onsite representing their organization as well as the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Old Salem Fire Department.
